The short answer

How does Sharktech speed up NBN construction projects?

We automate the admin that holds your projects up. ACM notifications. Subcontractor tickets. Civil quotes. Defect photos. Completion artefacts. As-built submissions. The system prepares, checks and chases. Your people approve every step.

Notify and allocate

ACM notifications and subcontractor tickets drafted, scheduled and tracked.

Quote and approve

Civil, install and non-SOR quotes checked against scope and rates.

Evidence and submit

Defects closed and as-built packs assembled, site by site.

It works across NBN fibre, HFC and Fixed Wireless, and on Starlink installs. Your crews do the work. We clear the path. Maintaining sites instead? See critical infrastructure maintenance.

The project path

Where do NBN projects stall?

Tight program dates. Lots of subbies. Strict completion rules. Every handover is a chance to wait. NBN Co has said it is moving towards agentic AI too. Its delivery partners need to keep up.

  1. 01

    Notify

ACM notifications drafted, approved and logged before works start.

  2. 02

    Allocate

Tickets to subcontractors with scope, access and evidence needed.

  3. 03

    Approve

Civil and install quotes checked against scope and rates.

  4. 04

    Submit

Defects closed, as-builts assembled, final submission ready.

From ACM notification to as-built submission

Where do we take the chasing out?

Six places your projects jam. The system does the prep. Your people make the call.

Where it jams

ACM notifications

Sent by hand, site by site. Nobody can say who got what, when.

What the system does

Drafts each ACM notification from the job details. Schedules it. Logs who got it and when.

Who signs off

Your coordinator releases each batch.

Where it jams

Tickets to subcontractors

Work handed out by phone and text. Details get lost.

What the system does

Creates the ticket with scope, address, access notes and the evidence needed. Tracks acceptance.

Who signs off

A supervisor confirms before it goes out.

Where it jams

Quote reviews

Civil and install quotes checked line by line. Approvals stall.

What the system does

Checks each quote against scope and your rates. Flags variances, gaps and duplicates.

Who signs off

Your project manager approves or pushes back.

Where it jams

Defect photos

Defects raised. Fix photos never turn up. Or turn up blurry.

What the system does

Sends reminders. Checks each photo matches the defect. Escalates anything overdue.

Who signs off

Quality signs off the fix.

Where it jams

Completion artefacts

Photos, test results and records checked by hand. Gaps found too late.

What the system does

Checks every artefact against the requirements. Lists what is missing, site by site.

Who signs off

Your quality lead confirms.

Where it jams

As-built submissions

As-builts and completion packs pieced together from everywhere. Final claims wait.

What the system does

Builds the as-built and completion pack per site or stage, with a checklist.

Who signs off

Your project manager approves before submission.

Human in the loop. Always. Nothing goes out, gets approved or gets submitted without a named person signing off. We just remove the waiting.

Agentic quoting where SORs do not apply

What happens when the Schedule of Rates does not cover the job?

Most NBN work is priced from the Schedule of Rates (SOR). Some is not. Variations, latent site conditions, out-of-scope civil works and one-off fixes need a custom quote. That is where margin leaks and approvals stall. Our quoting agent builds the non-SOR quote. Your estimator signs it off.

0101

Spot it

Reads the ticket, site notes and photos. Flags work with no SOR item.

0202

Build it

Drafts the quote from scope, labour, plant, materials and your past jobs. Every line shows its source.

0303

Check it

Tests the quote against your margin rules, similar jobs and contract terms. Flags gaps and risks.

0404

Approve and chase

Your estimator approves and issues it. The agent chases the response and logs the outcome.

Human in the loop. Always. The agent drafts and checks. A named estimator or project manager approves every non-SOR quote before it goes out.

Network technologies

Which network technologies do we cover?

Six NBN technologies, plus Starlink satellite installs. Our leadership has worked across all six NBN technologies. Different work, same bottlenecks.

Stopped
Cybersecurity, delivered

Phishing. Fake invoices. Stolen records. How do NBN subcontractors stop them?

Telco contractors are easy targets. Lots of invoices. Lots of subcontractors. Crews on phones in the field. We see it every week. So we deliver the cybersecurity too.

The threat

Phishing emails

Fake emails. They look like a carrier, council or supplier. One click and a password is gone.

How we stop it

Email filtering. Domain protection (SPF, DKIM and DMARC). Phishing training for the office and the field.

The threat

Fake invoices

Someone changes the bank details. Or bills for work that never happened. The money is gone before anyone notices.

How we stop it

Every bank detail change and unmatched invoice gets flagged. A real person checks by phone before anything is paid.

The threat

Hacked accounts

A stolen password gets someone into your email, job system or accounts. Then they act as one of your people.

How we stop it

Multi-factor authentication on every account. No shared logins. Alerts on strange sign-ins.

The threat

Stolen records

Customer addresses, site access details, rates and contracts. Copied out and sold.

How we stop it

Access reviews. Least-access permissions. Tested backups. Alerts on unusual downloads.

Start with a Security Health Check. We test you against the Essential Eight. We check your email and payment controls. You get a plain English fix list, worst risks first. Cybersecurity services →

Why Sharktech

Why do NBN subcontractors work with us?

We've worked inside the network. More than seven years across the NBN rollout and Telstra critical infrastructure.

7+

Years across the NBN rollout and Telstra critical infrastructure.

6

NBN technologies our leadership has worked on: FTTP, FTTB, HFC, FTTC, FTTN and Fixed Wireless.

2,200+

Telstra critical infrastructure sites managed in New South Wales (2021 to 2025).

0

HSE incidents across those sites.

Our background

We know the paperwork. We know where it jams.

Six NBN technologies. FTTP, FTTB, HFC, FTTC, FTTN and Fixed Wireless. Our leadership has worked on all of them.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Dainu Devis, was Area Manager for Telstra critical infrastructure facilities in New South Wales, through Ventia on the Telstra InfraCo contract (2021 to 2025). More than 2,200 sites. Zero HSE incidents. Before that: site engineer at Visionstream (now Ventia). NBN and Telstra fibre builds. He reviewed subcontractor bills of quantities, invoices and payment claims. He worked on a 700 metre submarine fibre crossing. We know the paperwork. We know where it jams. That's what we fix.

Fix it

We build the automation. Limited access. Human sign-off. Full records.

04STEP 04

Prove it

We compare against the baseline. You decide: scale it, tweak it or stop.
